Comical Books (coming soon)

We are in the process of printing up a limited quantity of physical copies of these first two ‘comical books’. Issue one is standard comic book size (6×9), has a cover cover and the interiors are all black and white on a newsprint style paper. Issue two (the ‘Art Prize’ issue), is full color, square format and printed on quality paper. Each is 28 pages plus color cover, including a color ‘dinosaur’ image on the back cover, as a preview to our upcoming “Prehistorical Jumbo Coloring Book” (which also may be a calendar, we haven’t decided yet). In the meantime, digital copies (pdf) of these two books are available on our Patreon site for reading on your iPad, laptop or other device.

As an experiment in late October, I designed a two week long sequence of strips to be used as a ‘mini book’ with a story about a pumpkin. These will eventually be self published in a short run in a small horizontal size, meant as a ‘easy entry point’ to the ‘world of Mose’.

The ‘Volume One’ through ‘Volume Four’ books are collections of the early strips from the first year. Each contain two months worth of strips (about 60), and these early days were a combination of black and white strips Monday-Friday and full color strips on Sunday (this would change over time).

DAILY COMICS COLLECTIONS

The story of our John Muir hike in 2019 ran as a daily strip serialization in March of 2023. The story was collected into a book format and won the 2023 Festival of the Arts Juried Graphic Novel competition. These books were part of the ‘prize’ awarded, and are 32 pages of full color comics.
